These Terms are a binding contract between you and Yinan Zhai (operating as “Phantom”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Phantom iOS application. By creating an account or otherwise using Phantom, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Phantom.
Phantom is a subscription management tool that helps you:
Phantom is not a financial advisor, lender, debt collector, money transmitter, broker, or party to any subscription you have with a third-party merchant. We do not move money. We do not have access to your bank account.
Phantom is anonymous-by-default and works without an account. Sign in with Apple is the only sign-in we offer, and it is optional. When you use it, Apple gives Phantom an anonymous identifier and, the first time only, the name and email you choose to share. They are stored on your device and in your iCloud Keychain. Phantom has no server of its own, so we never receive them.
Your subscriptions, imported charges, cancel proof, dispute letters, and preferences live in the app’s database on your iPhone. On App Store builds that database also syncs to your own private iCloud database whenever your device is signed in to iCloud, so your data follows you to your other Apple devices. That is Apple’s CloudKit private database: only your Apple ID can read it, and we cannot. Signing in to Phantom is not what turns syncing on, and signing out of Phantom does not delete anything.
You are responsible for the data you put in the app. Keep your iPhone locked and your Apple ID secure.
Pricing:
All purchases are billed by Apple via the App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel ≥24 hours before renewal in iOS Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions, or via the deep link in Phantom → Settings → Manage subscription.
Refunds: subject to Apple’s refund policy — request via reportaproblem.apple.com.

Phantom’s code, design, copy, and the Zombie Score algorithm are owned by us. You may not copy them. You retain ownership of content you input.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You may terminate at any time using Settings → Account → Delete account & data, which erases the app’s data on your device and the copy in your private iCloud database, then signs you out. We may terminate for cause with notice. Sections 6–11 survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. You may opt out within 30 days of first creating an account by emailing yn.zhai0205@gmail.com (legal) with subject “Arbitration opt-out”.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance.
